A Ray of Light and The God of War

It was a lovely January afternoon when a ray of light fell for The God of War. The ray of light was a naive little girl who longed for an object to shine on. However, The God of War had lived a long bitter life, tired of battles and disappointments, and grew wiser and quieter. He loved how she put her arms around him but he was afraid to be comfortable to her warmth. Thus, he chose to revert to the shadows and to watch the world spinning around in its confused dance from the darkest corners of the universe. The ray of light, a tiny speck of an afternoon color, gradually dimmed in her longing to the weary warior.
