Good story, great ending, beautifully narrated (me and those who cannot absorb most of the descriptions sometimes blame Flaubert for his flowering unintelligible words, but hey... It's just our poor fluency of English that is to blame, not his intelligence!).A piece that I will buy if I see it in a bookstore.
I'm still comforting myself by saying 'this is only fiction, this is not a real-life story,' because I'm still sobbing for Charles' beautiful death; in a lovely day, inside a beautiful view, while holding a lock of hair strands of his corrupt wife.
